Ways To Support
Your support helps us provide free legal services to those who need it most—whether through donations, pro bono work, volunteer work, or community partnerships, every contribution makes a difference.
Pro Bono Opportunities for Attorneys
Volunteering pro bono at the Legal Aid Society of Mid-New York is a great way to earn Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit while providing free legal services. By participating, you will make a difference in the lives of low-income people, seniors wanting to plan for their futures, those seeking help with domestic violence, and others who can’t afford legal assistance when they need it most.
Volunteer lawyers provide free attorney consultations to low-income clients throughout our 13-country service area and help us to continue meeting our clients’ needs when funding for civil legal services is limited.
How Do Our Pro Bono Lawyers Serve the Public Good?
In 2024, volunteer private attorneys with our Private Attorney Involvement program completed 313 cases and accepted 268 new cases.
Huge thanks to Annette Saviet, James Fleckenstein, David Zube, Bruce Beckman, Kathryn Donnelly, and Robert Wedlake, top contributors in 2024, for their outstanding pro bono service. Their dedication brings justice within reach for those who need it most.
