LSC Statement

LASMNY receives funding from the Legal Services Corporation (LSC). LASMNY is therefore subject to restrictions set out in the Legal Services Corporation Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2996–2996l, in LSC’s regulations at 45 C.F.R. Parts 1600 through 1644, and in section 504 of Public Law 104-134 as incorporated in LSC’s annual appropriation. Under 45 C.F.R. Part 1610, certain of these restrictions apply not only to LSC funds but also to funds LASMNY receives from any other source, including grants, contracts, subgrants, and donations. LASMNY may not expend any funds for any activity prohibited or limited by those restrictions, except as permitted under 45 C.F.R. §§ 1610.4 through 1610.6.
