LASMNY serves low-income individuals and families, seniors, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and people with disabilities across a 13-county service area in Central and Northern New York. We cover Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, and Otsego counties. We also provide legal help to agricultural workers and their families anywhere in New York State.
Eligibility requirements depend on your circumstances and the specific assistance requested. Usually, you must live in New York State, have a household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, and need help with a type of legal issue we handle. LASMNY gives priority to matters involving basic needs, including housing stability, family safety, and access to public benefits.
