Free Legal Representation For Farmworkers
Farmworkers often face unpaid wages, unsafe conditions, poor housing, and difficulty accessing benefits. Our Agricultural Worker Program tackles these challenges by providing legal representation for wage claims, workspace safety, housing conditions, and other civil legal issues.
We also connect workers to immigration resources if needed, ensuring that your rights are protected regardless of immigration status.

Did You Know?
- The Agricultural Worker Project (AWP) offers free and confidential legal assistance to migrant and seasonal agricultural workers across New York State.
- New York’s Farm Laborers Fair Labor Practices Act grants agricultural workers the right to organize and collectively bargain, and it entitles them to overtime pay after 60 hours per week (decreasing to 40 hours by 2032).
- Agricultural workers can file complaints about wage theft, unsafe working conditions, and discrimination through state agencies like the New York State Department of Labor or the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for safety and health complaints.
